Our talented pupils wowed audiences with a vibrant and uplifting production of Annie, staged at the iconic Cromer Pier on the 4th and 5th of March.

The performance showcased incredible acting, confident vocals and outstanding energy from the cast throughout. The dancers delivered sharp, high‑energy routines that brought the show to life and reflected the pupils’ dedication and hard work.

Performing in such a prestigious venue in our hometown added to the excitement, with pupils rising to the occasion and delivering a polished, professional performance.

The production was a celebration of creativity, teamwork and talent will undoubtedly be remembered as a highlight of the school year and a testament to the remarkable talent of the pupils who brought Annie to life on Cromer Pier.

The evening show was met with enthusiastic applause and heartfelt praise from the audience. Audience members commented:

“Cannot get over the level of talent! Absolutely amazing show, we thoroughly enjoyed it!”

"Well, done to everyone involved. It was a fantastic performance which we very much enjoyed watching."

Earlier in the week, 150 Year 5 pupils and staff attended a special matinee performance, giving the younger children in our community an incredible opportunity to experience live theatre. The visit proved hugely inspiring, helping to spark excitement and ambition in the next generation of performers due to join Cromer Academy. Pupils from one primary school were singing songs from the show on the coach all the way back to their school!

A huge thank you to the cast, pupils and staff who helped backstage. A special thank you to Miss Balfour, Miss Renton and Mr Hensley for your time, dedication and commitment to bringing this production to life!

Miss Balfour, Head of Performing Arts said:

"We are incredibly proud of the students at Cromer Academy for their performance of Annie Jr the Musical. The students worked tirelessly week after week to perfect their scenes and dances in the lead up to opening night. The acting was exceptional; dancers were well synchronised and the cast lit up the stage. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed and supported with the showcase and excited to get started on our next production!"
