Activity Days 2023

We are very pleased to launch our ‘Summer Activity Days’ programme. Over the course of four days in July, pupils in Year 7-9 will have the opportunity to engage in a range of exciting trips or school-based activities.

To ensure we are able to proceed this year with offering activity days, we have made
changes to the programme in comparison to previous years. Over the four days, pupils will have a selection of different activities to choose from. Pupils need to select their first, second, third and fourth choices for each day. These are split between four-day trips and two-day trips.

Be aware some activities have a cost and some trips will return after the school day ends. It will be your responsibility for ensuring your child is collected from school at a
later time.

There will be funding available to help support pupils entitled to Pupil Premium however, pupils that have already accessed funding for a school trip that departs during the 2022-23 academic year will be unable to claim again.

Activity Days 2023 Options Booklet

Example 1: I don’t want to go on a four-day trip. On the option form, I would select not
interested in boxes 1 and 2 for the four-day trips. I would then select my four options for two-day trips in order of preference.

Example 2: I’m interested in 1 of the four-day trips. So in box 1, I would choose my
preference for France and then tick not interested in the second box. I would then need to choose four options for the two-day trips in order of preference.

Pupils will be allocated based on their choices and spaces within the options chosen. We will try to fill the 4 day overnight trips first and then allocate to the two-day trips afterwards.

Pupils in year 9 who take part in the Duke of Edinburgh will be expected to complete their Bronze expedition on two of the days and will then make choices for the other two days of activities.

Option forms will be open from Thursday 24th November and must be completed by
Tuesday 29th November. We politely request this deadline be adhered to. Click here to access the options form. Pupils will be informed at the start of December which activities they have been assigned.
