Referred to as 'the greatest of lifboatmen,' Henry Blogg GC BEM is the most decorated lifeboatmen in RNLI history.

Awarded both the George Cross and the British Empire Medal for his heroic deeds, Henry Blogg is held in the highest esteem by our town. The Blogg house motto, 'In omina paratus,' reflects his attitude that he was always ready to do what was needed.

We are proud to honour this great legacy by naming a house after him.
